"Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani, signed memorandums of understanding with major American companies to implement projects in the sectors of electricity, oil, pharmaceuticals, and the economy."
The media office of the Fund stated that al-Sudani met in the American capital, Washington, on Wednesday evening (Baghdad time), with several CEOs and representatives of major American companies, in a session held by the American Chamber of Commerce.
During the meeting, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Iraq Development Fund and MACK, an American company specializing in engines and equipment, in the field of specialized vehicle manufacturing.
During the meeting, a dialogue session was held with the attendees, during which Al-Sudani addressed several questions raised regarding the investment environment in Iraq and the facilitations provided by the government to the private sector.
During the meeting, Al-Sudani presided over the signing ceremony of several memoranda of understanding between the Ministries of Electricity and Oil, the Iraq Development Fund, and American institutions and companies. Additionally, similar memoranda of understanding were signed between the Iraqi private sector and American companies in the fields of energy and pharmaceutical industry.
